WHAT IS EDDY CURRENT ?
Eddy current - The induced circulating current produced in a conductor itself due to change in magnetic flux linked with the conductor are called EDDY CURRENT.
These currents were discovered by "foucault" so they are also called "Foucaults Current".
APPLICATIONS
1. IN INDUCTION FURNANCE - Induction furnace is based on the heating effect of eddy currents.
2. SPEEDOMETER - Speedometer is a device which is use to measure the
instantaneous speed of a vehicle.

3.ELECTROMAGNETIC BRAKES IN ELECTRIC TRAINS - A electromagnet is attached to the axail of the electric train. The relative motion between the magnet and the rail induces eddy current. When the electric current opposes the drag force on the moving train.
4.INDUCTION MOTOR
5.INDUCTION COOKING
IT IS VERY USEFUL INFORMATION.
